Our Fundraisers

By fundraising for us you will be helping the hundreds of sexual violence survivors across Darlington and Co. Durham get the support they need as well as contributing to ending rape and sexual violence.

Here are just some of the people and organisations who have supported RSACC.

Students from Durham University’s Collingwood College’s football team – Collingwood College AFC have supported us since 2020. All the clubs football teams wear our logo on their kits to support the awareness raising work that they do to help end sexual violence.

They have

  • run a 24 hour fancy dress race across Durham City
  • undertaken two 24 hour Football Tournaments
  • fundraised through their charity ball

When we ask them why they chose us, this is what they said:

In 2021, we celebrated our delayed 30th birthday. To support our celebrations, we encouraged people to run the SG Petch Darlington 10K for us. This included Mark Robinson. This is why Mark ran for RSACC.

“A shocking stat came out of the Euros…did you know that when England’s football team lose a match, domestic (including sexual) violence increases by 38%. And even if England draw or win – it’s 26%. That’s why it is so important to support charities such as RSACC.”

Tina Denny took to the hills to raise funds for us, by undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge. This is why:

“I’m supporting RSACC as I was looking for a local charity this time and I’ve heard directly about the good works you do. I know how hard you all work and how dedicated you are and also think it’s fab that you’re reaching out to sports teams at the university etc. to promote knowledge and education of all genders.”

Influencing decision makers plays a huge role in ending rape and sexual violence. At RSACC we campaign to influence the people that make decisions locally and nationally to change attitudes and improve support for women and girls whose lives have been changed forever by rape and sexual violence.

By campaigning with us here at RSACC, you can make help us get closer to a world without rape and sexual violence. Find out more about joining our campaigns please get in touch on 01325 354119 or info@rsacc-thecentre.org.uk.
